The World’s Biggest Green Cabbage

Brace yourself.  The term “big” here is actually an understatement – it is more like huge.  Gigantic.  The world’s most gigantic green cabbage is actually a whopping 125.9 pounds – the average weight of an adult human.

The cabbage, with leaves spanning as big as five feet and its head 21 inches in diameter, has been submitted by Wasilla resident, Steve Hubacek, at the Alaska State Fair.  The Guiness World Book of Records witnessed the event.

This green cabbage broke the record of the previous title holder from Wales by 1.9 pounds which held on to the prestige for 124 years.

Now, that is a lot of coleslaw and sauerkrauts!
