Red Cabbage and Peas Stir Fry Recipe

A perfect healthy cabbage side dish for those health conscious

A simple recipe for a side dish or vegetarian main course.

Ingredients

½ medium sized red cabbage, thinly shredded
2 tablespoons Food Fusions Wok Oil
2 cloves garlic, peeled and thinly sliced
1 red onion, peeled and sliced
30g pecan nuts, roughly chopped
1 tablespoon tomato purée
1 tablespoon sweet chili sauce
200g sugar snap peas
2 tablespoon soy sauce
2 tablespoon medium sherry

Recipe Instructions

Cook the cabbage.
Heat the oil in a wok (or large pan) and add the cabbage and the onion. Stir fry over a medium heat for 3 – 4 minutes. Add the garlic, peas and pecan nuts and fry for a further 3 – 4 minutes.

Make the sauce.
Mix together the soy sauce, sweet chili sauce, sherry and tomato puree and drizzle this over the cabbage. Let the sauce simmer for 2 minutes and remove from the heat.

Serve immediately.
