Ingredients
1 medium green cabbage; quartered, cored and shredded
5 tablespoons mayonnaise
2 tablespoons cider vinegar
1 teaspoon sugar
5 tablespoons sour cream
¾ teaspoon salt, or to taste
½ teaspoon pepper, or to taste
Optional:
2 handfuls of diced apple, shredded carrots or celery, or sliced white onions
1 tablespoon caraway or celery seeds
Recipe Instructions
Make the dressing.
Whisk together the mayonnaise, sour cream, vinegar, sugar, salt and pepper in a large bowl.
Mix in the vegetables.
Pour the dressing over the vegetables and let it stand at room temperature tossing occasionally for 30 minutes.
Serve.
Serve chilled or at room temperature.
