Coleslaw Recipe

An appetizing cabbage side dish

A great side dish recipe to accompany grilled food.

Ingredients

300 g of white cabbage, thinly sliced
2 spring onions or scallions, thinly sliced
2 carrots, peeled and grated
2 tablespoons of sour cream
2 tablespoons of mayonnaise
2 tablespoons of vinegar
1 teaspoon of mustard
1 teaspoon of sugar
Salt and pepper

Recipe Instructions

Make the dressing.
In a small bowl add the mayonnaise, sour cream, mustard, vinegar, sugar, salt and pepper. Mix thoroughly until the mixture forms a rich and creamy dressing.

Add the dressing to the vegetables.
Place the cabbage, carrots and spring onions/scallions into a bowl. Mix together all the vegetables and pour the dressing on top. Mix together until all the vegetables are smothered in the dressing.

Cover and chill.
Cover the coleslaw with cling film and place it in the fridge to chill. This gives the vegetables time to marinade in the dressing.
