Cabbage in Garlic Butter Recipe

Savoy cabbage with garlic and butter
Yield: 6    Preparation Time:     Cooking Time: 20 minutes
Spice up your greens with this buttered garlic cabbage recipe.


1 large cabbage; outer leaves discarded, cored and shredded
2 tablespoons sunflower oil
2 garlic cloves, finely chopped
25g butter
2 tablespoons of water

Recipe Instructions

Heat the oil in a large saucepan and add the chopped garlic. Heat for 20 seconds, making sure the garlic does not begin to burn.

Add the cabbage and the water, season and cook over a medium heat for 10 minutes or until very tender. Stir occasionally during cooking.
